Welcome to JYSF Baseball and Softball! For those new to JYSF, thank you for joining our JYSF family. You had a choice, and we are glad you chose JYSF. For those returning to JYSF, thank you for your support and commitment to JYSF.
Last year was considered a rebuilding year for JYSF. This year is to build on some positives from last year and make necessary changes to make this a better experience for the families and, especially, for our children playing at JYSF. This letter is one way to emphasize some of the changes and keep you informed about the upcoming season.
Those changes have already begun, starting with the expansion and remolding of our JYSF Baseball and Softball board. We are still looking for a few more willing parents to join, so please let me know if you are interested. The board is working hard to make the league competitive with the other leagues in the area.
Here is some of the information about the upcoming season regarding registration:
- The board voted to keep the registration rate at $85.00.
- Fundraising will be World's Finest Chocolate Bar - must sell 2 boxes or 100 bars at $1.00 each. Opt out will be offered at $50.00
- Volunteer hours are the same as last year - 3 hours/first child 2 additional hours/second child, 1 additional hour/for every child after 2.
- The board and commissioners will be enforcing a paid-in-full to play policy. Special circumstances will be approved by the board.
- JYSF will have both recreational teams and elite teams.
Here is some of the information about the upcoming season:
- Opening day Ceremonies and the 2nd Annual Opening Day tournament is scheduled for Saturday March 31st, 2012.
- PONY’s Midseason tournament will be optional and the cost will be funded by each team that opts to participate in the midseason tournament.
- All Stars will be announced at the end of the season.
- Elite teams may register as a whole team but we are limited to 3 elite teams per age division, starting at the Mustang age level.
- A new Zero Tolerance Policy and Player Code of Conduct will be signed by participating parents and players, respectively. These policies will be strictly enforced.

- Registration is $85
- Bring Birth Certificate
- Fundraising is chocolate bars
- Practice starts first week of March
- Season starts March 31st
